When it comes to healthy eating, we may encounter different areas of expertise. One of the most commonly confused distinctions is the difference between a dietitian and a holistic (integrative) nutrition consultant.
A dietitian is a health professional who has graduated from a university’s Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and works within a medical and clinical framework. They create nutrition plans based on clinical data such as an individual’s medical condition, blood test results, and body weight.
A holistic nutrition consultant, on the other hand, approaches a person as a whole—considering not only the physical body but also the mind and spirit. In addition to nutrition, they take into account factors such as lifestyle, stress levels, sleep quality, and emotional balance when providing guidance. The goal is not merely to offer a diet plan, but to help build sustainable, awareness-based healthy habits.
As for me, on this journey I provide personalized and sustainable nutritional guidance grounded in the unity of body, mind, and spirit. My aim is not just to offer temporary solutions, but to help cultivate healthy habits that can last a lifetime. Because healthy eating is not only about what we eat, but also about how we live.
